Did you know that emergent bilingual students are underrepresented in Gifted and Talented programs across the state? Join us to explore the research behind the characteristics of these students and discuss ways to promote appropriate instructional strategies to meet the varied needs of this student group. Through interactive activities and discussions, we'll learn how to better nominate, identify, and serve emergent bilingual students in order to meet the needs of all learners.
This self-directed online course meets the six hour professional development requirement for teachers who serve gifted and talented students.
