This one hour webinar is one of an 8 part series on vocabulary learning for children with hearing loss. The focus is on children who use listening and spoken language, however applications are made to sign language learning when appropriate.  You are currently accessing the

  • Identify types of vocabulary that help expand language development
  • Describe how types of vocabulary words known differ for children with and without hearing loss
  • Evaluate the relation between vocabulary and grammatical development
  • List six specific types of vocabulary to teach in order to contribute to grammatical development
