Transitioning to Proficiency Based Instruction in the LOTE Classroom
In this workshop, participants will gain a better understanding of ways they can effectively and efficiently incorporate the new TEKS that begin the 2017-2018 school year. Participants will look at the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines and Performance Descriptors to gain insight on what an individual can and cannot do with each language level. Participants will also learn and discuss practical ideas to implement in the class that focus on the three modes of communication: interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational to help push students to the next language level.
