Instructional Coaching Foundations 2017

Feed Your Professional Goals!!

The Instructional Coaching Foundations is the first step of the Instructional Coaching Endorsement Program (ICE).  This three day foundations training lays the ground work for effective instructional coaching.  Using Region 13's Balanced Coaching Framework participants will investigate the four elements of effective instructional coaching: Content Knowledge and Pedagogy, Leadership and Facilitative Skill, Coaching Expertise and Coaching Skill.  Participants will leave with Region 13's Instructional Coaching Toolkit and many tools to empower teachers and students on their campuses!

You can take the workshop independently or in conjunction with the Instructional Coaching Endorsement Program (ICE).  The intended goal of ICE is to provide participants the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of coaching. The Instructional Coaching Endorsement Program will allow coaches the opportunity to enhance their coaching careers through face to face cohort meetings, on-site coaching visits, and online collaboration. Upon completion, participating ICs will receive 115 hours of professional learning and the Region 13 Instructional Coaching Endorsement on a certificate at a completion ceremony.
