TExES Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test Training (January 2017)

This online workshop is intended for individuals seeking certification as a bilingual teacher. The TExES Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test (BTLPT) is required to become a bilingual teacher in Texas. This TExES exam assesses the individual's proficiency in reading, writing, listening and speaking of Spanish. The online workshop content is aligned to the TExES Exam #190 and will provide an overview of the exam based on the test framework. In addition to the content overview, a practice test will be administered. The graded practice test will be reviewed, debriefed and results analyzed so that participants will leave the online workshop with an action plan for passing the intended certification exam.

This online workshop will be delivered live, via Zoom, a free online tool/communication platform. The link to access the Zoom virtual workshop will be emailed to participants the day before the workshop begins.

NOTE: Participants must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish.

February 18 has been added as a  make-up day for the practice test which will be given on Feb. 4. This additional session has been added for participants in the Region 13 Educator Certification Program (ECP).  It is not required for other participants.
