Participants will identify rigor as it relates to the advanced student, demonstrate how to increase the complexity of the TEKS for the advanced student, understand the benefits of increasing the rigor for advanced students and the impact an independent study such as the Texas Performance Standards Project (TPSP) can provide advanced learners.
This workshop is aligned to the Texas State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) teaching standards for Gifted Education and the combined standards set forth by the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC). . This workshop is appropriate for annual G/T 6-hour update.
