CANCELED - Biology STAAR Science: Strategies for Teaching Biological Processes and Systems
The Biology STAAR Science: Strategies for Success series is designed as timely professional development using a common scope and sequence. Each session will take an in-depth look at the focus-area TEKS to help you plan a quality curriculum for your classroom. You’ll explore activities to promote hands-on learning while embedding critical thinking connections to reinforce key concepts for STAAR readiness. In addition, we will address T-TESS components relating to instructional planning and delivery, quality of the design and execution of lessons. TEKS, T-TESS and Timely Topics…all in one workshop!
In this workshop we will examine the science behind the Biology TEKS for 10A - 10C, 11A, and 9C. Teachers will receive electronic files of all of the activities we do together.
