The Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) is the Commissioner recommended teacher evaluation system for the state of Texas. This training is required for anyone who will be appraising teachers. In addition to this training, all T-TESS appraisers must have Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) certification before appraising teachers. ILD or ILT certification received prior to Jan. 1, 2016 is an acceptable substitute for AEL certification.
Region 13 ESC can provide virtual training only for participants working and/or residing within Region 13 OR from districts that regularly use the ESC as their designated ESC due to proximity.
