Online HR Compliance - Section 504

Section 504 is the result of the Civil Rights movements of 1973. It was the first civil rights legislation in the United States designed to protect individuals with disabilities from intentional or unintentional discrimination. The nondiscrimination requirements of the law apply to employers and organizations that receive federal financial assistance. This presentation is an overview of the legislation, what it means for students, and the requirements, impact and implications for educators.
