Just in Time for STAAR Reading - 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th grade

As the STAAR test draws closer it becomes important to move into a genre-based unit of study surrounding STAAR. What does authentic instruction look like in regards to assessment? What should the focus be for the few weeks prior to the state exam?

Come ready and willing to engage in discussion and planning for your upcoming weeks of instruction.

Reading closely is important when preparing for assessment. What authentic strategies do readers use to help them when tasked when responding to questions at the end of a text? This day will focus on designing instruction to help empower students to think critically while reading for assessment purposes.
