G/T Online ESC 13: Setting Standards for Success of G/T Students, Spring 2017

In this e-course, participants learn about assessment used to measure student growth and the quality of a district's services for the gifted. Participants will learn about the Texas Performance Standards Project, and how districts can use it to ensure that gifted students are achieving all that they're capable of and that district services are helping gifted students reach the goals established in the

Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students. Participants will contribute ideas to the discussion board, share their own experiences, and research related information. The objectives will be met through Internet investigations, investigation of district information and practices, and threaded discussions. A 10-question end-of-course knowledge test is also included.   This workshop is aligned to the Texas State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) teaching standards for Gifted Education and the combined standards set forth by the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC). This workshop meets Texas state requirements for G/T basic training in assessing student needs or curriculum and instruction for gifted students. This workshop is also appropriate for annual G/T 6-hour update.   Check your workshop access date and review the Participant Guides to help you get started in accessing your online course. This tutorial describes all the navigational features of the E-Campus online delivery system.
