TExES Review: English Language Arts and Reading/ Social Studies 4-8 (Spring 17)

This course is intended for new and experienced teachers who want to review key concepts, principles and strategies for teaching English Language Arts and Social Studies in 4-8 classrooms. This course is aligned with the 4-8 English Language Arts and Social Studies Texas educator standards/frameworks and can serve as preparation for taking the TExES certification examination.

This 48 credit hour course focuses on:

  • content development of ELA and Social Studies concepts, and principles in grades 4-8
  • instructional strategies for ELA and Social Studies 4-8 grade teachers
  • activities and assessments that cover TEKS-based concepts, principles, and strategies for students.

  This course will take "approximately 48 hours" to complete.
