G/T Online ESC 13: Assessing the Needs of G/T Students, Winter Session 2016

In this e-course, participants will gain understanding of how to implement Texas law and the State Board of Education rule concerning the assessment and identification of gifted and talented students. Participants will also learn about methods of assessment that help accurately identify the needs of the gifted students in a district. Participants will contribute ideas to the discussion board, share their own experiences, and research related information. The objectives will be met through Internet investigations, investigation of district information and practices, and threaded discussions. A 10-question end-of-course knowledge test is also included.   This workshop is aligned to the Texas State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) teaching standards for Gifted Education and the combined standards set forth by the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC). This workshop meets Texas state requirements for G/T basic training in assessing student needs. This workshop is also appropriate for annual G/T 6-hour update.   Check your
