Compass Learning AM Spring: Novice Users

Texas Education Agency (TEA) has made online resources available to Texas public schools and open enrollment charter schools through the TexasSUCCESS initiative.

TexasSUCCESS includes scientifically validated and research-based online programs to target the prevention of academic failure in mathematics and reading in the following service categories:

  • Math Grades 3–8 & Algebra I (Think Through Math)
  • Reading Grades 3–5 (Istation) (Istation Espanol available for 3rd grade)
  • Reading Grades 6–8 (Compass Learning)
  • English I & II (Apex Learning)

Representatives from each of the 4 companies will provide training for district staff to facilitate effective implementation of these resources into instruction.

These training sessions will be BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). A limited number of laptops will be available for participants who do not have a device to bring.

During the Pathblazer Training of Trainers (TOT), we will demonstrate the Pathblazer platform and take you step-by-step through the system, from both the student and teacher perspectives, while providing a level of depth and context that will help you support other Pathblazer users.
