Building Trauma-Sensitive Campuses

A course designed to assist educators in understanding the prevalence and impact of traumatic events in the lives of students and develop effective interventions through a trauma-sensitive lens.

Traumatic events in the lives of children have tremendous impact on their physical, emotional, social, and mental development resulting in academic and behavioral challenges at school. Schools are coming under increased pressure to recognize and respond to those challenges through a trauma-sensitive lens.

This workshop will assist district and campus leaders in understanding the prevalence and impact of traumatic events and develop policies, procedures, and practices to become trauma-sensitive.

CEUs are available to Licensed Social Workers and Licensed Professional Counselors upon request.
