Region 13's E-Campus

All school aged children 4 years old by September are required by law to have their vision and hearing screened.

 Vision and hearing screening is required for students in:

• kindergarten
• first
• third
• fifth
• seventh grade
• any other first time entrants (4 years through 12th grade) are required 

  The Texas Department of State Health Services provides the recertification training. Participants will review the procedures and practicum skills to accurately screen students and meet the the state mandates.   Nurses, health aides, teachers, volunteers may attend the training if already certified.   Note: Must bring proof of current certification   Recertification is good for a period of 5 calendar years.  
The continuing education (CE) credits are NOT applicable for nursing credit.     Please bring audiometer and snacks.
