Instructional Coaching Endorsement (ICE) 2016-17

The Instructional Coaching Endorsement Program (ICE) is an elite training program offered by ESC Region 13 to instructional coaches and teacher leaders. The intended goal of ICE is to provide participants the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of coaching. The Instructional Coaching Endorsement Program will allow coaches the opportunity to enhance their coaching career and take it to the next level. Upon completion, participating ICs will receive the Region 13 Instructional Coaching Endorsement on a certificate at a completion ceremony.

The program is carefully structured to provide 95 hours of in-depth professional learning over a 10 month period. It is specific to the day-to-day demands of an Instructional Coach. Instructional Coaches will gain the confidence and credibility to effectively coach, collaborate and communicate with various instructional stakeholders within the district. Meeting times are strategically placed in order to avoid excessive absences from campus.

  • 2 Half-Days of On-Site Mentoring
  • Region 13 Coaching Toolkit
  • “Better Conversations”  book by Jim Knight

Endorsement Certificate and 115 CE units will be awarded upon successful completion of all elements listed below. Meeting times are strategically-placed in order to avoid excessive absences from campus
