Webinar: Understanding and Assessing Threats in the School Setting: A Threat Assessment Model
This webinar aims to provide information to help practitioners implement threat assessment procedures in the school setting, particularly those outlined by the NASP School Safety and Crisis Response Committee (2014). Types of threats will be described along with procedures for conducting an individualized threat assessment. Components of the Virginia Model for Student Threat Assessment, along with other threat assessment guidelines, will be introduced. Finally, options for intervention will be presented.
