WRS Steps 7-12 Practicum Description:
This practicum requires successful delivery of 50 lessons (at minimum) with an approved student beginning at WRS Substep 7.1 and reaching Substep 10.3 or higher, and submission of three videotaped lessons for observation and feedback. Cost is $600.
Prerequisites:
WRS Level I Certification, a Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field, and completion or current enrollment in the Advanced Word Study Online Course. Duration is 15 months (typically completed in one school year.)
Advanced Word Study Online Course Description:
The online advanced word study course provides advanced word study instruction and guidance for both decoding and encoding; addressing the concepts and procedures for Steps 7-12 of the WRS including spelling option procedures. To enroll, register through Wilson Language Training at www.wilsonlanguage.com/academy or call WLT Customer Service at 1-800-899-8454. Cost is $1000.

Participants must complete the linked registration form, scan and return to Judy Butler at judy.butler@esc13.txed.net. Wilson Language Training must have on record your successful completion of Wilson Reading System Level 1 Certification prior to your official acceptance of enrollment. Official acceptance of enrollment will be sent via the email address you provide on this form.
Complete WRS Level II Certification Guidelines:
The practicum must be completed within 15 months from practicum registration date for Acknowledgment of Completion to be awarded. Upon completion of the Steps 7-12 Practicum, teachers are specialized in implementing all 12 steps of the WRS program, but are not considered WRS Level II certified unless they have previously completed all advanced courses.
Successful completion of all advanced courses listed below results in WRS Level II Certification.

Participants attaining WRS Level II Certification can represent themselves as Wilson Level II Certified teachers and can instruct students in 1:1 and group settings through all steps of WRS.
