Beat the Heat 2017
ESC Region 13's Beat the Heat is a multi-day professional development opportunity for educators who work with children ages 3-21 with significant intellectual and low incidence disabilities.
Day 1 follows the popular traditional format of a general assembly and breakout sessions on best practices featuring national presenters, regional professionals, and ESC staff. Content for breakout sessions is developed to meet the needs of new and veteran teachers. Topics include: Curriculum & Instruction; Classroom Management & Organization; Behavior; Autism; Communication; Assistive Technology; Sensory Motor; Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD)Day 2 features full day in-depth sessions from national presenters on topics including: Challenging Behavior, Best Practices in Literacy & Math, Communication/AAC, Individualized Instruction, Transition and more!
