Using Bloom’s Taxonomy to Challenge Young Learners Part 2

Bloom’s Taxonomy is a helpful tool that challenges teachers to increase the rigor of their instruction, but it can be difficult to integrate into daily instruction. This training aims to make this complex tool more user friendly by providing real life examples through video. In Part 1 and Part 2 we will follow a pre-k teacher as she demonstrates each level of Bloom’s Taxonomy using a traditional early childhood theme. You will be asked to reflect on video examples and apply your learning by planning similar questions and experiences that relate to a different theme. Part 2 of the training addresses common challenges with implementing Bloom's and focuses specifically on the most complex levels: evaluating, analyzing, and creating. Part 2 provides video examples of Bloom's implemented after a read aloud, during a whole group science activity, and during Center Time.

This course is Part 2 of a two part training. Though not required, participants are strongly encouraged to attend part 1 (FA1727646) and part 2 (FA17276647) of this training.
