Algebra for Young Children: Purposeful Patterns Part 1
Pattern concepts are foundational for advanced math including algebra. There’s much more to patterning than circle, square, circle, square on a sentence strip. Learn what pre-k and Kinder students need to understand about patterns. Observe practical strategies to teach patterns in whole and small groups, and centers. You will view examples of how to teach patterning skills in a variety of centers including dramatic play, art, and writing.
Though not required, participants are strongly encouraged to attend part 1 and 2 of this training.
