This 2-day training is designed for SLPs and districts who want to have enough information to begin applying the TSHA statewide eligibility template to the evaluation of children suspected of having an articulation or language disorder. Day 1 will focus on the eligibility guidelines for articulation and the articulation manual. Training will include template basic principles, application to articulation eligibility, informal assessment and case study practice, and use of a district articulation eligibility manual. Day 2 will cover the language template, including standardized assessment instrument selection and informal assessment procedures for decision making in the areas of syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. Participants will leave the training with model eligibility manuals for language and articulation to adapt for use in their districts. 10.0 TSHA CEUs pending.
